Kuripe- Chonta Wood (Protection) Shipibo Tribe (Peru)

A Kuripe pipe is a small, portable, v-shaped blowpipe traditionally used by the indigenous peoples of South America for the self-application of hapé.

The virtues of the chonta wood include protection and defense against negative energies. In the indigenous regions of the Amazon, chonta is considered the tree of life, due to the properties of the wood.
